Thomas, who runs bedding firm The Fluffy Pillow Company, has made it through to the next round of the BBC One cookery show. This is despite making a huge faux pas in the kitchen when he made the serving sizes so big they ran out of brocolli.
And his final meal of crumbed veal on truffled potatoes with pea puree and oyster mushrooms did not get a great critique from the judges.
Gregg Wallace said the veal was overcooked and that he did not like the skin-on potatoes, though John Torrode said he "admired Thomas' ambition".
