I didn’t grow up with dogs. When I met my ex-wife Heidi, she had Snoopy, a whippet, and JoJo, a greyhound, rescue dogs from the Dogs Trust.
I instantly fell in love with them. Heidi said, ‘How have you got through your life without having a dog? You just love these dogs.’ I got involved with the charity, and when Anna and I moved to this house and wanted dogs, we went to Dogs Trust.
Anna saw Bella Face, a French bulldog, and that was it. Then they phoned us a couple of months later as they had another, and that was Wally Socks.
