Massimo Donati believes Celtic failed to play to their strengths in their last Champions League clash with Lazio - and feels they lack the 'extra step' to turn them over in Rome.

The Italian, who played for the Hoops between 2007-09, is a manager in Serie C with Legnago Salus these days and will be a keen observer when his old team come to town on Tuesday night.

Brendan Rodgers' men know they have to win to stand any chance of playing in Europe after Christmas and are out for vengeance after Pedro's late strike broke hearts in the reverse tie at Parkhead.

And Donati knows just what to expect from Celtic, who he feels won't change their style of play on the road.
