Greenwood, 19, broke into the first team in 2019 and has spent the last two seasons largely playing on the right wing. His performances have been largely excellent though as he has scored 29 goals in 105 senior appearances for the Reds but he made his name in youth football as a number nine.
Now former United number nine Cole, who scored 121 goals in 275 games during his eight years at the club is hopeful that he will get a run as the central striker this season after the arrival of Jadon Sancho.
