Manchester United have suspended Mason Greenwood following accusations he allegedly attacked his long-term girlfriend Harriet Robson.

The club released a statement on Sunday, it read: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.” Robson shared horrific images, video and audio clips onto her Instagram stories on Sunday morning, showing her with blood pouring from her mouth and numerous bruises over her body, writes The Mirror.In the video displaying her cut lip she wrote: “To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me.”The audio file also contained an extremely distressing and graphic conversation between a female voice and a male voice.Manchester United released an initial statement after the posts emerged which read: “We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established.

Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”The posts were taken down soon after, but United have now moved to suspend the 20-year-old striker as they conduct an investigation.Greater Manchester Police had also issued a statement after the shocking allegations had come to light.It said: “Greater Manchester Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media.
