The sold-out, twice-extended Off Broadway comedy Oh, Mary! will transfer to Broadway this summer, producers announced today.
Written by and starring Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the play will begin previews at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre on June 26 ahead of a July 11 opening night.
The limited 12-week engagement will run through September 15. Producers Kevin McCollum & Lucas McMahon and Mike Lavoie & Carlee Briglia announced the move.
The dark comedy currently is playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre Off Broadway. Oh, Mary! stars Escola as, according to the synopsis, “a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
