EXCLUSIVE: Following a sleepy San Diego Comic-Con last summer due to the actors’ strike, this year’s is about to explode with the return of Marvel Studios to Hall H per sources.
San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 25-28. Traditionally, the penultimate day of SDCC is dedicated to Marvel Studio’s presentation in the late afternoon.
Note, the studio was present at the fanboy confab last year with a trade floor booth, a comic-book panel and autographs from distinguished writers and artists.
This year’s presence for Marvel falls on the opening weekend of their first R-rated Disney movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, which is expected to be huge, with some tracking firms spotting a possible $200M start.
