Actor Jeremy Renner is said to have lost a "serious amount of blood" when a snowplough "ran over one of his legs" in a horror accident.
The Marvel star was airlifted to hospital where he was said to be in a "critical but stable condition". It's believed the safety feature on his Snow Cat plough failed on Sunday, sending it rolling over one of his legs. It's now claimed the Hawkeye star was close to his family property, which is around 25 miles from Reno, Nevada.
And whilst at the residence - near the Mt Rose-Ski Tahoe resort, close to Lake Tahoe - he was ploughing the road. It's understood he was trying to clear the route out for his family following the "massive storm" on New Year's Eve.Our sister title The Mirror reports that TMZ said a neighbour, who's a doctor, rushed to his aid, putting a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived.
It continues: "We're told the area was treated like an active crime scene ... with police arriving at 8pm to impound the Snowcat, which Jeremy's previously posted video of himself using on his property after snowstorms."The issue, we're told, is the machine has extensive safety features, and should not have rolled over Jeremy." Earlier on Monday, one of the actor's representatives gave an update on the star's condition.
