Marty Wilde has become first celebrity to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in the UK and called having it "common sense". The rock legend, 81, received the first jab of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday.
The Teenager in Love singer and father of singer Kim Wilde is due to receive the follow-up dose in 21 days. On receiving the vaccine, Wilde said to the Press Association: "Having just had my Covid injection I can honestly say it was an easy experience, if that’s the right word.
It was painless and the staff were great." Marty is a big advocate of receiving the vaccine and encouraged others to have it.
