Fans of Martin Lewis have been left stunned after he took to social media to inform his followers that he's been asked to hand back his OBE.

The MoneySavingExpert founder, 50, posted the news on Twitter - leaving many people in disbelief over the news. Best known for his tips on saving money, he has most recently been giving the public crucial advice and information on the cost of living crisis, writes the Mirror.

Martin was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2014 Birthday Honours for services to consumer rights and to charitable services.He was later awarded a CBE for services to broadcasting and consumer rights in the Queen's New Year Honours at the beginning of 2022.On Monday he posted a snap of his OBE honour and said: "They're taking my OBE off me!
