Thousands of households are to be handed vouchers for home improvements as part of Chancellor Rishi Sunak's pledge to cut energy bills and make homes greener.
The Green Homes Grant, which opens this month, will give families vouchers to spend on everything from new insulation to a better boiler - and now Martin Lewis has revealed and how and will it will come into force. "The scheme, which was announced in July, will be available in England only and applications for it will open at the end of September," Martin explained on Thursday night's Martin Lewis Money Show. "It will offer £5,000 vouchers for home improvements - or up to £10,000 if you're on a low income. "The scheme won't apply to new builds and your home won't need to be assessed.
