Hibernian winger Martin Boyle has spoken about the ‘mentally exhausting’ time he spent in recovery after his horror ACL injury that ruled him out of the World Cup.
Just weeks prior to the tournament kicking off in Qatar, Boyle suffered the injury with his return to football not coming until he scored a double for then-manager Lee Johnson’s side in their Conference League qualifier against Inter Club d'Escaldes.
After being called up to the Australian national squad again, he's ready to forget about the nightmare and take care of the ‘unfinished business’ of not yet playing at a major tournament for his country.
