Boyle blasted a late double to see off St Mirren in the quarter-finals on Wednesday and his thoughts turned back to the last-four clash with Rangers in November 2021 – when he lashed a sensational hat-trick.The Australia star is relishing another trip to Hampden – with Aberdeen awaiting on the evening of Saturday, November 4 – but he believes the slick Hibs attack can be a match for anyone.
Nick Montgomery’s front five have all been banging in the goals, with Boyle leading the way with six for the season, Dylan Vente rattling five, Elie Youan finding the net four times and Christian Doidge and Adam Le Fondre each bagging three.A repeat at Hampden would be sweet for Boyle but he has plenty of back-up now.
