Martin Boyle has revealed he can remember nothing of the sickening collision that saw the Hibs ace rushed to hospital in an ambulance. The Leith frontman had to be stretchered off during last month’s Scottish Cup clash with Rangers at Easter Road following an accidental clash with John Souttar.
Thankfully, Boyle came away with no lasting damage and was able to make his return to action after a three-week lay-off as Nick Montgomery’s side squared up to Gers again at Ibrox on Saturday. However, he did suffer a concussion that has left him with no memory of the events that saw him whisked by blue-light to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with worried wife Rachael by his side.
Asked what he could remember of the incident, the Australia international said: “Nothing. Nothing at all. I don’t remember anything about the game, it’s just a blur.
I got home the same night. But I wasn’t in any condition to have conversations.“I don’t remember going to hospital. My wife was in the ambulance, I don’t really remember that.“I kind of came round after the scans.
