An RAF serviceman has landed himself in trouble and a military prison after going AWOL to appear on the reality TV show Married at First Sight UK.
Alex Henry took unauthorised leave from his post at an electronic warfare unit to chase love and fame on Channel 4's hit dating series.
He requested leave but his commanding officer at RAF Spadeadam, Cumbria, denied it. A rep for Henry remarked: "He returned after filming of his own volition and handed himself into the military authorities.
He was sentenced to 34 days in a military prison and served 24 as a model inmate."After serving the 24 days, he was dismissed from the forces.
