Married at First Sight UK and US differences including legal marriages

With its heartwarming declarations of love and dramatic shock romances, it’s no surprise that viewers up and down the country are captivated by this year’s Married At First Sight UK.

But while fans at home may be used to watching the newlyweds embark on a series of weekly dinner parties and commitment ceremonies, all while living in the same apartment block, the show used to look very different.

In fact, it wasn’t until 2021 that all of these additions were added in a revamp of the format in order to make it more like the Australian version.

But despite the show’s similarity with its Australian counterpart, a US version of MAFS exists and it's very different indeed.
