Married At First Sight Australia star Jessika Power has paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend after he was fatally shot in a car park in Melbourne.The reality TV star previously dated Sam Abdulrahim, who was reportedly an underworld figure and a boxer known as 'The Punisher', back in 2019 and admitted that finding out about his sudden death was 'hard to hear'.

She revealed that she had ended their relationship due to his 'connections to the underworld' but stressed they parted on 'really good terms'.

Opening up after his death, Jessika said: "It's been really, really hard to hear. We ended on really good terms. He's always been supportive to me if I needed him, even up until a few months ago." Jessika said Sam was 'dedicated' to his loved ones and 'protective' of her during their time together. "He's a dad, he's a husband, he's someone's son and he's just a really good guy," she shared with Daily Mail Australia, reports the Mirror.

Jessika also said that her brother Rhyce is mourning the loss, as he and Sam were close friends.The former couple met through mutual acquaintances and went public with their romance on Instagram in May 2019, when Jessika posted a picture of them while she enjoyed a face scrub.They began dating soon after he was released from prison after serving a custodial sentence over a high-speed crash that resulted in the death of an 88-year-old woman in 2015.
