Marley Watkins up for the season - as injury is set to prematurely end his current Aberdeen loan. The Dons boss has confirmed the Welsh international has injured a tendon in his hamstring and faces eight to 10 weeks on the sidelines.
Watkins will now return to Bristol City and his loan is set to end in early January but McInnes is hoping that agreement can be extended.
McInnes admitted: “The tendon is damaged on his hamstring.“We believe he will be out for a period of eight to 10 weeks. We’ve been in conversations with Bristol City.
Marley is still with us today but will go back down on Friday.“Obviously this injury is a setback for us all.“It doesn’t change my opinion on him and wanting to work with him.“I know Marley is enjoying it here.
