While The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg might not want be involved in the same conversations as the Facebook founder, it seems Mark Zuckerberg, on whom the protagonist/antagonist is based, has no problem continuing the association.

On a recent episode of The Colin and Samir Show, whose podcast includes interviews with tech CEOs and delves into the creator economy, the Meta leader revealed that he had purchased one of the shirts Eisenberg wore in the dramatized film at auction.

While discussing the David Fincher-helmed and Aaron Sorkin-penned Oscar-winning pic, host Samir Chaudry asked if the shirt was the same as the one the A Real Pain director wears when Andrew Garfield’s Eduardo visits him in Palo Alto. “Yeah, that’s true,” Zuckerberg replied. “One of my friends saw this online in an auction and was like, ‘You have to get this.’ So I was like, ‘All right, yeah, sure, let’s get it.'” When asked if it was the actual T-shirt, he continued, “Yeah, this is his shirt.

Well, it’s my shirt now. But it was his shirt.” As noted in the podcast, the shirt was listed on PropstoreAuction and won at a bid estimated between $2,000 and $4,000.
