Mark Wright 's latest telly venture dubbed The Bachelor UK has been axed by Channel 5 bosses after just one season. The ill-fated version of the hugely successful US series was launched last year and hosted by the TOWIE hunk shortly after his stint on the Essex reality show.
But as the show's UK presence proved to be far less successful than Channel 5 bosses had hoped for, they pulled the plug after just nine episodes.
Confirming news of the axe to Daily Star Sunday, bosses said: "We can confirm that The Bachelor will not be returning for another series on Channel 5."
