Slipknot founding member and drummer Joey Jordison has settled its lawsuit against the band for profiting off his death.Earlier this year, the Jordison estate announced that it had filed a lawsuit against Slipknot in June last year claiming that the band continued to use Jordison’s name and personal belongings “in a travelling Slipknot museum called Knotfest and lined their pockets with profit off of Jordison’s devoted fanbase” despite promising that they would return his belongings to his family after he was fired from the band in 2013.Now, per a Blabbermouth report, Jordison’s estate has filed as of September 17 an unconditional settlement of the lawsuit. Details surrounding the settlement have not been made public.In the original lawsuit filed, Jordison’s estate also commented on the band’s reaction following Jordison’s death: “Perhaps worst of all, Crahan and [Corey] Taylor publicly lied to fans that they had contacted Jordison’s family to check on them and express their condolences and love for Jordison in the wake of his passing.
