Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season. Villa are covering at least 75 per cent of Rashford's £325,000-a-week salary and that could rise to 90 per cent, depending on performance-based bonuses.
Villa also have an option to buy the 27-year-old in the summer. The move ends a 20-year association between Rashford and boyhood club United after he joined the club's academy at the age of seven.
Rashford last played for United against Viktoria Plzen on December 12 and he has not appeared in their past 13 matches. He was omitted from the matchday squad in 12 of those games.
Villa swiftly moved for Rashford after they sold striker Jhon Duran to Al Nassr for £64million on Friday and a deal was agreed on Saturday.
