Marcus Rashford has broken a number of personal records this season and has now matched a feat recorded by Wayne Rooney 13 years ago.

The England star is enjoying the most prolific campaign of his career having netted 28 goals so far. He could be the first United player to break the 30-milestone since Robin van Persie in the 2012/13 title-winning season.

He’s already matched the feats of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016/17 and Bruno Fernandes during the 2020/21 campaign with his current tally, having netted 20 times since the World Cup. And on Wednesday, he continued his fine form by netting the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Brentford. The strike means he has now scored 10 winning goals this season - a record Rooney managed to produce during the 2009/10 season.
