Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Marcus Rashford's future looks set to be a story that dominates the headlines throughout this summer. Manchester United are set for a huge squad rebuild, and that has led to a number of players being made available for transfer.
Rashford has endured a tough year on the pitch, scoring just eight goals for United in all competitions. Having managed 30 the previous campaign, that represents a major drop-off in form.
The forward has been criticised at times for his perceived level of effort and attitude, by pundits and United matchgoers alike, and has come in for some stinging criticism.
In the penultimate game of the Premier League season, and the last one at Old Trafford, Rashford confronted a United supporter who was giving him grief during the warm-up.
