I, like millions of others across the country, have been living with a mental countdown at the back of my mind that ended on Monday 8 March 2021 at 8:00am.
For that is when my brothers Zach, 18, and Jacob, 15, bounced out of the front door with their rucksacks firmly strapped to their backs and headed out to their respective college and school.

It’s now been a decade since I left high school and I would struggle to recall anything I learned if my life depended on it – I could still recite you the argument Joanne and Cath had in the common room word for word though.
