Manufacturing giant EGGER UK to consult public on plans for growth in East Ayrshire

East Ayrshire's largest manufacturing firm will go to the public with its plans for growth in the region.Egger UK is to share its five-year vision with residents later this month, which includes proposals to install a new biomass facility and lamination line at its Auchinleck plant.The woodchip manufacturing giant says the move will improve the efficiency of its site and reduce energy costs as it aims for net zero production.A drop-in public consultation event will take place on Wednesday, August 18 between 2pm and 6pm at the EGGER Barony in the town.Members of the project team will be on hand to guide the local community through the proposals and see how the plant operates.A further online virtual event will take place on the same date.
