Manny Pacquiao tested for coronavirus as boxing legend is told to self-isolate

Manny Pacquiao has been tested for coronavirus - and the boxing legend is adamant he hasn’t got the disease. After originating in the Wuhan province of China, COVID-19 has swept across the globe.

It is now a global pandemic with cases rising steeply in Europe and the USA over the weekend. Pacquiao and his family were told to self isolate after he came into contact with someone who had tested positive for the disease.

But the 41-year-old says he’s tested himself with a kit from Korea and is all clear. "My countrymen, I would like to make it clear that even before I received the letter from [Dasmarinas Village, Makati] Barangay Captain Rossana Hwang, I already started home quarantine," he said in a statement. "Please don't worry.
