Manhunt launched after pensioner beaten in brutal daylight attack on Scots street

manhunt has been launched after a pensioner was brutally attacked in the middle of the day on a Scots street. The 72-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was set upon and beaten up near to the junction of Tomnahurich Street and Montague Row in Inverness.

He had suffered injuries to his arm in the attack which happened at 11am last Tuesday (January 12). Police say they are treating the incident as a serious assault and have called for anyone with information to come forward.Officers are keen to trace a man described as being in his 30's, of heavy build, spoke with a local accent and wearing all dark clothing.The man was last seen running in the direction of Bruce Avenue, Inverness.Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on.
