An open manhole on a busy street in Chorlton has caused concern and humour among residents. The manhole, just outside the Sedge Lynn Wetherspoons pub on Manchester Road, has been without a proper covering for at least three days.
The hole, which is filled with debris, including shards of broken wood, is being covered by a piece of chipboard style wood which has already cracked.
