Mandy Moore's Son Gus Goldsmith Developed A 'Crazy Rash' Almost Overnight

Mandy Moore is sharing something scary she found on son Gus. The 39-year-old This Is Us actress and mom of two revealed that she woke up to find that her eldest son, 2, was covered in rashes! Keep reading to find out more… According to Mandy, who shared the news on her Instagram, Gus was covered in a “crazy rash” that was on his legs, feet and the back of his arms over the past weekend.

She says that they went to a lot of physicians – including in urgent care, a pediatrician, a dermatologist and a pediatric dermatologist – about Gus‘ rash, and said that Gus doesn’t even know anything is going on. “[He] smiles and laughs and carries on with his day like the rockstar he is,” Mandy wrote, before adding that the diagnosis was “a viral childhood rash that just spontaneously appears called Gianotto-Crosti syndrome.

It sometimes accompanies a cold but not in Gus’ case. It’s all over his legs and feet (ouch) and the backs of his arms, but nowhere else.” Apparently, there’s nothing more to do now then wait it out, along with some “steroid cream and Benadryl at night” for Gus. “It could last 6-8 weeks.

Oooooof. Anyone else ever experience this?” she added. “All of that to say, this parenting thing is weird and hard and sometimes you feel so helpless (and yes I’m ever so grateful it’s only an itchy skin condition).
