Former Derby County and Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent believes it is important that Manchester United do not try and force Ralf Rangnick to become the club's next permanent manager.
Rangnick was appointed as United's new interim manager just over a week ago, succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a deal until the end of the season, before the club looks to appoint a long-term successor next summer.
The German, who made a winning start to life at Old Trafford with a 1-0 triumph over Crystal Palace on Sunday, will move into a consultancy position at the club ahead of next season, meaning he will still have a say in the direction the Reds move in.
