Some of the Manchester United squad to face Atletico Madrid has been revealed after the team departed for the Spanish capital on Tuesday afternoon.
United face the reigning La Liga champions on Wednesday night in the first-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, with the competition being Ralf Rangnick's only chance of winning a trophy in his temporary tenure in charge of the club.
The interim manager announced ahead of leaving Manchester that Edinson Cavani is once again unavailable for the match. "No, Edi will not be able to make the trip," he said. "He didn't train, he has not been training the last couple of weeks, so he won't be part of the group. "He has problems with his groin and as long as he does not feel able to fully sprint, it doesn't make sense to train him and to force him back into training.
He's got enough experience by himself to know when he's fully available again." Photographers snapped some of the players who will be part of the squad arriving at Manchester Airport ahead of the team's flight on Tuesday afternoon.
