Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United's January transfer window has been quiet so far, with Ralf Rangnick seemingly getting to know his new squad before turning his attention to incomings from elsewhere.
The Red Devils appear unlikely to sign any players before the end of the month, despite speculation that United have been beaten to the signature of Luis Diaz by Liverpool.
The FC Porto talisman is on the verge of moving to Anfield according to reports, with some suggesting that United were also tracking his services ahead of potentially making a bid.
The MEN understands that such reports are wide of the mark and once assessing the make-up of Rangnick's current squad, it becomes clear as to why a deal for Diaz was not needed.
