Manchester United will record the biggest attendance in FA Youth Cup history in two weeks' time. United's U18s will welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup final on Wednesday, 11 May.
Ahead of the match, the club's box office has confirmed that more tickets have already been sold than the current attendance record from 2007.
United were also involved in setting the current highest attendance for a Youth Cup fixture. That's because 38,137 supporters were in attendance at the Emirates stadium in March 2007 when United played Arsenal in the first leg of that year's semi-final. Travis Binnion's side progressed to the final of the competition this season after beating Wolves 3-0 at Old Trafford in March.
It was an accomplished performance from United's U18s with goals from Charlie McNeill and Alejandro Garnacho. The latter made his senior debut for the club against Chelsea on Thursday night and he's set to star in the FA Youth Cup final.
