Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will hold discussions with Manchester United loanee Wout Weghorst on his future in the summer. The 30-year-old has scored twice in 23 games for United so far.

He helped them win the Carabao Cup in February and played his part in an FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton on Sunday. United are also chasing Champions League football next season.

It remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag will seek to try and sign Weghorst, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Besiktas, permanently.

He is under contract at Turf Moor until 2025 and with Burnley now confirmed as a Premier League team next season, Clarets boss Kompany said discussions on where the 30-year-old will be playing his football in the 2023/24 campaign will come at the end of the season.
