Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United's three-game winning run in the Premier League came to an end on Saturday evening, losing 1-0 to Newcastle United at St James' Park.
Anthony Gordon's second half tap-in was enough to seal a fully deserved three points for the home side, who dominated from start to finish.
United, who had drawn 3-3 with Galatasaray just 72 hours before the trip to Tyneside, produced one of their most lifeless and lacklustre performances of the campaign so far.
The result only increased the level of pressure weighting on manager Erik ten Hag's shoulders, as well as sparking more questions about their torrid away record against the Premier League's elite.
