Manchester United's three-game winning run in the Premier League came to an end on Saturday evening, losing 1-0 to Newcastle United at St James' Park.

Anthony Gordon's second half tap-in was enough to seal a fully deserved three points for the home side, who dominated from start to finish.

United, who had drawn 3-3 with Galatasaray just 72 hours before the trip to Tyneside, produced one of their most lifeless and lacklustre performances of the campaign so far.

The result only increased the level of pressure weighting on manager Erik ten Hag's shoulders, as well as sparking more questions about their torrid away record against the Premier League's elite.
