Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Danny Ings this summer as back-up to Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

Ings only moved to Aston Villa from Southampton last summer, but could be available to any potential suitors in time for next season.

Ings, 29, netted seven goals in the Premier League last season. He cost Villa around £26million when moving there in 2021. However, any deal struck-up during the upcoming transfer window could prove to be a bargain for United, Arsenal or any other clubs hoping to add strength in depth.

Arsenal are looking for a first-choice option to lead their attacking line, while United want a versatile forward to support Ronaldo as and when needed.
