Former Manchester City and England striker Trevor Sinclair has compared Manchester United youngster James Garner with club icon David Beckham.

Sinclair made the admission following the midfielder's starring role in Nottingham Forest's excellent 4-1 win over Leicester City in the fourth-round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon at the City Ground.

Garner, who joined Forest on loan from United for the duration of the season back in August, claimed the assist for Joe Worrall to head home the Championship's side third goal of the contest, delivering an outstanding corner from the right-hand side.

The central-midfielder, who has his eyes on a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season, has gone from strength-to-strength during his second spell with Forest this season and is being tipped to become a star at Premier League level in the not too distant future.
