Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will reiterate to Marcus Rashford he "loves him" after it emerged his brother and agent held discussions with paris Saint-Germain.
Rashford's brother, Dwaine Maynard, last week rendezvoused with officials from PSG, long-time admirers of the United forward.
Sources have questioned the timing of the meeting as there are less than three weeks until the transfer window closes and Rashford, 24, has indicated his preference to stay at United. Also read: United make decision on Mejbri's future The suspicion from some is that Maynard arranged the meeting as a negotiation tactic to put pressure on United to offer Rashford a new contract.
Rashford has entered the last year of his deal but United have the option of an additional year to retain him until 2024. When asked if he had spoken to Rashford about the PSG development, Ten Hag replied: "Not yet but he knows I love him, he knows I want him to be here so I will tell him that again! "I know [players] are experienced, they know how to deal with that.
