It's been a slow start to the transfer window for United, causing some fans to grow anxious that the massive rebuild that Erik ten Hag needs to helm this summer may not come to fruition.
However, MEN Sport understands that the club are not worried about the slow start, with more than 10 weeks of the window remaining, and will stick to their plan.
It's understood that Ten Hag is targeting at least five new signings before the window closes, with both Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen among the top priorities.
The Dutchman got a first-hand view of Eriksen's quality last season as he trained with Ajax ahead of making his remarkable return to action.
