Felix Brych will be the man in the middle for Manchester United's visit to Villarreal on Tuesday night but the Reds will be hoping they can end a losing trend with him as the match official.
He has been in charge of 10 matches involving United, with the Red Devils losing three of the last four matches Brych has officiated including the Europa League semi-final second leg defeat to AS Roma last season.
Despite the defeat at the Stadio Olimpico, Solskjaer's side did progress to the final where they were beaten by Villarreal on penalties.
United need to at least draw in order to keep their fate in their hands, but a defeat could land serious repercussions for Michael Carrick and the outlook for this season.
