Diallo recently joined United from Italian side Atalanta in a deal which could be worth up to £37million. Atalanta were keen to re-sign the 18-year-old on loan but United wanted to take a closer look at the winger between now and the end of the season.
Supporters hoping to get a glimpse of Diallo in action for the under-23s on Monday evening were disappointed - as he did not feature in the squad to face Leicester City in Premier League 2.United's senior side preparing for their next Premier League fixture at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening - hot on the heels of Sunday's goalless.
