Manchester United are 'considering' going head-to-head with Arsenal in the battle to sign West Ham United captain Declan Rice.
That is according to a report by The Telegraph, which claims United are prepared to propose a player-plus-cash deal for the England midfielder.
United are desperate to strengthen their midfield options this summer and Rice is a player who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford over a lengthy period of time.
The 24-year-old, who helped West Ham clinch the Europa Conference League crown earlier this month, has gone from strength-to-strength over the last couple of years and, as a result, Arsenal have identified him as their top midfield target this summer.
