Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United’s season has ended in typically disappointing fashion as the club moves into Erik ten Hag’s spell as manager.
United's disastrous campaign came to a conclusion on Sunday with another defeat, this time at Crystal Palace, with the incoming boss watching on from the stands.
Despite the loss, United managed to hold on to their Europa League spot thanks to West Ham’s defeat at Brighton. With their wretched season now complete, the focus can turn to the summer, with Ten Hag facing a huge task as he gets to work at Old Trafford.
The former Ajax boss has been urged by some pundits to oversee a major overhaul this summer in order to transform his new club’s fortunes.
