Manchester United confirm Paul Pogba departure

Manchester United have confirmed the imminent departure of Paul Pogba. Pogba, 29, is out of contract on June 30 and will leave United exactly 10 years on from the previous time he left the club by running down his contract.

As the Manchester Evening News reported three weeks ago, Pogba is expected to rejoin Juventus, whom he joined from United in 2012. However, the rest of Pogba's United career was fraught and laden with incident. His late agent, Mino Raiola, offered Pogba to Manchester City in January 2018 and claimed the Frenchman's United career was "over" in 2020.

Pogba revelled in the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2018 on Twitter and publicly said it was "time for a challenge somewhere else" in July 2019.
