She rose to prominence in February 2012 when she featured on DJ Fresh's single "Hot Right Now", which reached number one in the UK. Her debut studio album, Ora, released in August 2012, debuted at number one in the United Kingdom. The album contained the UK number-one singles, "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)". Ora was the artist with the most number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart in 2012, with three singles reaching the top position.

Manchester Pride is streaming a series of free Friday night shows

Manchester Pride will begin streaming a new series of free Friday night shows starting this weekend. The LGBTQ+ charity's new Live In Your Living Room programme kicks off on April 17 with sets from Rita Ora, Louisa and Liberty X from 8pm.

Taking place every Friday for the next four weeks, the streams will feature performances from the Pride festivals in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Organisers say they want to 'bring back the joy' of past festivals to people in lockdown. It will be followed by a further four weeks of new content from Manchester Pride, the full details of which will be announced soon.
