The city centre will soon be flooded once again by spectators as thousands of runners prepare to take part in the Manchester Marathon.
In what is often held as the second-largest marathon in the UK by distance and one of the top five most popular in Europe, the event will be taking place on Sunday, April 16.
The popularity of the event is expected to bring in a record number of attendees, with almost 28,000 people believing to take part.
However, due to the sheer size of the event, commuters going through the city over the weekend will likely experience a range of disruptions on the road due to road closures.
