Leaders from the hospitality industry have banded together to launch a nationwide campaign this week, calling for an end to the 10pm curfew.An open letter to the Prime Minister warns that the curfew could be the 'final nail in the coffin' for an industry that is 'dying', with some reporting a drop in trade of 60 per cent since the measure was introduced.The #CanceltheCurfew campaign hopes to put pressure on the government to U-turn on its decision to impose a curfew on pubs, bars and restaurants.Some of the businesses worst-hit by the restriction on operating hours say they are losing as many as 40 hours of trade every single week.The campaign comes less than a week after the curfew came into action, and follows a weekend where impromptu.
