Peter Moss makes a 90-mile round trip to volunteer in a charity shop - and he says he does it because he works with such lovely people.It's little wonder then that Peter has been hailed as an “absolute asset” by his manager at the Scope charity shop.Peter, 66, travels from Trowbridge, Wiltshire, to Newbury, Berkshire, and back - five days a week.

And he uses public transport to make the 45 mile journey.“When I walked through the door I was given such a wonderful welcome," said Peter. "I couldn’t have been made to feel more at home".“They say I go the extra 90 miles a day for my job, but when you work with such lovely people, and get to know our great customers, the thought of knowing you’re helping.
