Man who rescued partner from hit and run crash wreckage can 'still hear her screams'

A man who scrambled from the wreckage of a horror hit and run crash to save his partner says he can 'still hear her screams.' The Vauxhall car containing the 33 year-old and his 32 year-old partner flipped and was sent rolling after the smash on Merseyside last week.

A car is said to have sped through a stop sign and ploughed into them in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead on the Wirral, before failing to stop and driving off The driver says he clambered free and managed to rescue his partner, who had been trapped inside their smashed-up vehicle.

Both the driver his partner were injured and say they have been left traumatised from the crash. The man says he can still hear his partner's screams as he attempts to fall asleep at night, and they both wake with night terrors, as they relive the harrowing events of last Sunday morning. It didn't stop or anything, even though it is a stop junction, there are sign posts either side and lines. It just hasn't stopped and crashed into me, the car has just rolled.
